Background
30 years of just Ethernet
That Ethernet Guy, the engine behind That Ethernet Company, started as contractor, a self-described lab monkey, running tests and pulling cables for the development team at Intel Ethernet. Moving into a full time position, That Ethernet Guy did driver lead, product lead, architect of PXE, Tools lead, people manager, program manager, and customer design enablement. Ending as a Principal Engineer, That Ethernet Guy just might have 1514 sized packets in his blood.
So we made a company out of him. Cheaper than cloning!
Innovation
That Ethernet Guy has patents a plenty, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Architect of two major link innovations, one not so public, yet in billions of dollars of SoC chips, and the public PHY SDK by Intel. That Ethernet Guy has had to create new solutions for cars, network appliances, airplanes and plenty of others.

Skills to pay the bills
That Ethernet Company has code in the Linux kernel, FreeBSD kernel, Intel Data Plane Development Kit (DPDK), Cisco IOS, Blackberry QNX and Juniper JUNOS. Custom OSes and even custom programming languages don’t throw us, we seen it all over 30 years.
Even a driver in Pascal once. Provided custom solution for that too.
Teacher
